Gabe wanted a tortoise. So, he did what many kids his age do these days. He Googled it. “I looked up what they eat and how they live, and I got a house ready for it.”

Many kids are eloquent enough to profile themselves. Here’s a Muse story written by Sofiy, a Brooklyn 13-year-old, about how she found community and a sense of purpose.
Bailey thrives on stories of right vs. wrong
Like many of her peers, this eight-year-old has a keen moral compass.
Whether cheerleading or watching television, Bailey always roots for the good guys (and gals)! A spirited girl from a small, rural town in Tennessee, this eight-year-old is all about standing up, and shaking her pom poms, for what and who she believes is right! Bailey’s clear conscience comes from the people closest to her. A true Southern girl, she’s learned to play nice and expects others to do the same.

When you’re seven, you think you’ve finally got a handle on things. You know your place in your family, have a group of friends, and can probably point the way to local landmarks like the park or the grocery store. Life is a comforting routine filled with school, play dates, family rituals, and birthday parties. So what happens when that grounding environment goes away? Kids adapt. They are hard-wired to do so.
It’s easy, right now, to think back on the many times one question has been heard in the offices of market research firms over the last decade: How can we be the next Apple? If only it was so easy. …

It all started with spaghetti tacos. A recent clamoring for them from the under 14 set has proven that kids love them. But the reason why these carbo-licious treats ultimately grace the dinner table is in question. Parents think they know.

In the mind of Greg, a 10-year-old spitfire from Vermont, the world is a giant place to explore, and the sky is literally the limit. He told us, “My biggest dream is to create a space shuttle that’s fast and easy for everyone to use. Then there would be no need for roads. It would be like a flying car and it would make me a multi-zillionaire.”
